Richard brings extensive legal, governance and management consultancy experience to Tompkins Wake. Over the years, Richard has served as chairman of a number of private and unlisted companies, as well as Radio New Zealand and the New Zealand Chambers of Commerce. He has acted as adviser and management consultant to government agencies and industry bodies in the meat, energy and telecommunications industries.

Out of the office, Richard collects New Zealand art and historic maps, restores Victorian houses and enjoys fishing.
