On 1 November 2010 Tompkins Wake was appointed the exclusive lawyers for Hamilton City Council.

The appointment follows the firms recent acquisition of Swarbrick Dixon, which had been the City’s solicitors for over eighty years.

The addition of Hamilton City Council to Tompkins Wake’s stable of existing local government clients, including Waikato District Council, Waipa District Council and Waikato Regional Council, confirms Tompkins Wake’s significant presence in the local government sector.
